# PandionAI Secures Support from Swedish Energy Agency and Sting to Enhance Power Grid Resilience

As climate change brings more frequent and severe weather, Earth Observation technologies play a vital role in protecting critical infrastructure. While traditional inspection methods like drones or helicopters are essential, they can be slow and costly during large-scale crises. Satellite sensors offer the broad coverage needed to complement these methods effectively.

This new project focuses on the automatic detection of damage and risk zones along power grids from space. By integrating these insights directly into operational systems, we help energy operators identify fallen trees and infrastructure damage, allowing them to minimize outage times and act faster during severe storms.

This initiative marks a key step toward building a resilient, export-ready service for energy infrastructure, with future applications planned for transportation systems and large-scale networks.
